Account Strategist, SEM

Our Ads Team delivers the industry’s most sophisticated search engine marketing (SEM) solution, providing clients with an automated approach to optimize, manage and report their paid search, social and mobile advertising results.  Our Ads team is currently recruiting a senior-level Account Strategist to continue our legacy of delivering superior customer care and performance results to customers.

As an Account Strategist you will manage customer relationships and results, acting as their primary point of contact.  You will partner closely with client marketing people to oversee the results from their digital advertising campaigns.  From establishing our company as a valued business partner, to defining business objectives for each SEM campaign, through campaign execution, and interpretation of online metrics, you will drive the customer’s success and our relationship.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee paid search advertising campaigns on all the major search engines including Google, Bing, Facebook Ads & Baidu, with clients utilizing formal project plans, business acumen and knowledge of the customer’s desired business objectives.
  • Work with the Client Services team to develop effective and strategic client plans on a large & broad scale to achieve optimal client success.
  • Utilize our Ads’SEMoptimization technologies to build, manage and optimize paid search campaigns, analyzing, interpreting and communicating campaign performance.
  • Continually manage and improve partnerships clients to cultivate long-term account growth.
  • Present growth strategies to clients – concepts through data.
  • This position works in a team-oriented environment and externally with customers. This is a senior level position that manages individual contributors to achieve business objectives. As a result, the incumbent must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.

Required Skills/Attributes/Education

  • Minimum of 5 years of paid search client management experience that includes managing teams.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a business to business (B2B) customer support environment with responsibility for managing customer relationships.  Background MUST include SEM, paid-search.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.
  • Proven ability to produce and present actionable insights and growth recommendations to the client.
  • Experience with ad networks, online creative and/or advertising agency experience required.
  • Experience with large volume performance search client is required.
  • Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail a must.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal and in presentations.
  • Must be able to communicate directly at CMO-level.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required: ideally in Economics, Marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Google Adwords Certified.

  • Continually manage and improve the partnership with the customer to cultivate long-term business relationships. Note: This position must build and maintain strong and effective working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Work directly with internal teams in product development, engineering, marketing and sales to address client needs and requirements, manage a variety of projects, develop new clients and actively participate as a member of a small, highly cohesive and very interdependent team of e-marketing professionals.

Required Skills/Attributes/Education

  • Must have 3-5 years of paid search client management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a business to business (B2B) customer support environment with responsibility for managing customer relationships.
  • Background that includes SEM, paid-search etc. is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience with ad networks, online creative, and/or advertising agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience with large volume search client is required.
  • Mobile and/or Facebook experience desired.
  • Google Adwords Certified.
  • Highly analytical, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience with other digital advertising campaigns a distinct plus.
  • Above average communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be able to communicate directly to the CMO-level in person, via presentations, in writing, via proposal, etc.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business or a related field.
